34 wks pregnant updates..

So today I had a regular doctors checkup. The protein in my urine was high, so they want me to go back Monday so they can check my urine again. If its still high I will most likely have to get an ultrasound to make sure that he is growing correctly. I guess if the baby cannot get enough protein it can make it so they dont grow properly. So hopefully everything monday comes out fine...

I had my baby shower last saturday! I got a few things that I did need. A lot of the people that were supposed to come ditched me which really depressed me. Just because they said they would come but waited till the last minute to tell me they couldnt come, or didnt tell me at all. There are a few exceptions to this. There were some people I understand why they couldnt come. But I am glad for the people that came. I really liked everything that I got!!

Well thats it for now. I have about a month left! Lets hope everything goes well! :)

3rd Trimester!!

So as a Friday I will be in my 3rd trimester! I cant believe it! I do feel like I have been pregnant forever, but at the same time, its going pretty fast!

I've been having some crazy dreams lately. Last night I had a dream that my baby had fingers growing out of his back! Weird I know!

I've been having terrible headaches, so I called my doctor and they prescribed me vicodin. It has been helping a bit.

At my last apt I gained 5lbs in  month! I couldnt believe it. My doctor said she wants me gaining around a 1lb a wk, so I was a little over! haha.

Tomorrow Im going shopping with my sister. We are going to once upon a child so hopefully I can get some more outfits! I feel like I have nothing! I need a small desser for all Brody's clothes, but I cant find one that isnt way too expensive. ugh!

Baby likes to dance!

Well, lately baby Brody has been moving a lot lately. I first felt him move a day after my nephews birthday!! That was exciting! :)

I have another ultrasound tomorrow because they couldnt get the measurment of Brodys head, and I have to get my cervix measured again. I hope everything is ok with that. Its pretty stressful but Im getting through it. From what I read if I make it to week 27 everything would be ok if I went into preterm labor. I have about 3.5 more weeks until I am there! So thats helping me through a well.  I cant wait to see more pictures of the baby. Hopefully he wont be as stubborn this time!

Scary things..

So yesterday I had my routine doctors apt to check on me and the baby. When I got there everything went as normal until my nurse came in and told me I have an incompetent cervix. That basically means that my cervix is short and weak and I am more likely to have a 2nd or 3rd term miscarriage or have a very preterm baby. Its when your cervix opens because of the weight of the baby.

Let me just tell you this already has been pretty hard on me. I have read stuff online, and let me just say, there is nothing good that came out of that. It scared me to read everything. My motherly instincts are already kicking into gear because I want to protect Brody from everything I can, but this isnt something I can prevent. I am just hoping that everything works out ok for me and I can carry my baby at least into the 8th month...

My doctor checked my cervix yesterday, and as of now, it isnt open at all. Everyone that reads this please just keep me and Brody in your thoughts...

Ultrasound Wednesday.

So I have my first ultrasound of the pregnancy this Wednesday, June 15th. I will also be 19 wks pregnant that day as well. Needless to say I am super nervous because I keep thinking about there being something wrong with the baby.  I think I might read too much stuff online!! haha! I know there is a very slim chance that anything will be wrong, but I can't help but worry.

I am going to find out the sex of the baby. My dad is hoping for a boy because they are easier to deal with. Im torn. I dont want a diva girl, I was never like that when I was a kid! I was a tom boy. Loved sports, so hopefully if I am having a girl she will be like me! :)

This pregnancy thus far has been rough for me as I lost my job not long after I told everyone at work I was pregnant. Thank goodness I am now recieving unemployment and I am on medicaid as well so that is a huge help!
